Celebrating Lunar New Year at Harbor Point Ice Festival

This past weekend, we celebrated the Lunar New Year with a very special Asia in a Bite food festival at Harbor Point Ice Festival. The 2 day event was packed with musical and dance performances, live ice carving and ice sculptures, tons of delicious food and drinks, and all-around festive vibes. Attendees of all ages came out to Harbor Point Central Plaza and Wills Park to experience a one of a kind event celebrating Lunar New Year and the beauty of winter.

After a buzzworthy season hosting monthly food festivals at Rash Field Park, Asia in a Bite returned to the waterfront for a special Lunar New Year edition at Ice Fest. The food festival brought over 30 vendors to Harbor Point Central Plaza and Wills Park, offering the wide variety of dishes and drinks that has made the event so popular.

Harbor Point’s annual Ice Festival always brings spectacular sculptures to see, and this year was no different! The centerpiece of the event was the ice snake sculpture in the center of the plaza, as 2025 is the Year of the Snake. Other sculptures included a Ravens uniform and the signature ice bench that makes for a perfect picture spot. There were live ice carving demonstrations by Ice Labs and visitors were able to carve their own signatures into an ice wall!

Performances included a traditional lion dance, Chinese orchestra, local band NU30X and musician Caleb Stine. DJ Dagm kept the energy up in between performances and there was something for everyone to enjoy.
