Bubble Days at the Maryland Science Center

This two-part workshop opens with the art activity, Wishes for Fishes, by local eco-artist Bridget Parlato, as she creates a living tale of life in the harbor from stories YOU tell!

12 Days of Christmas IN JULY

Dream Big, Play More: Summer Camp
Get ready for a Summer of Fun at Port Discovery! Each week features a new exciting theme for kids PreK-3rd grade, with hands-on STEAM activities, creative arts workshops, and interactive play across three floors of museum fun. Every day brings a fresh adventure! The camp program runs from July 28th to August 22nd from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Science Trivia Crawl at Maryland Science Center

B'More SUP Cup 2025
We are celebrating the 10th Annual B'More SUP Cup in 2025 and it is the first time any SUP race has been held on the Inner Harbor! Let's join together as one big paddle community and show Baltimore what this sport is all about. All types of paddle craft are welcome (not just standup paddle boards!). In addition to the race, we will also have a fun festival type-vibe at the after party.

10th Annual B'more SUP Cup

Mess Fest at Maryland Science Center
The Maryland Science Center is packing the most mucky, slimy, sticky, sloppy science into a weekend-long celebration! The annual Mess Fest returns on Saturday and Sunday, August 16 & 17. Grab a brush and dip into your favorite color of paint to leave your messy mark on the Science Center’s window mural. Send the slop skyward with colorful rockets powered by fizz. Dig your hands into some goopy mixtures in the Slime Room.

Domino Day at the Maryland Science Center
Domino Day, presented by Domino Sugar, is back on Saturday, June 28. This year the domino display will form a mesmerizing variety of patterns and effects all centered around the theme: Around the World in 80 Days. The big topple will take place at 2:00pm, but come early to watch the builders complete the finishing touches, test a few designs of your own making, and learn how to build domino tricks that will have you toppling like a pro.

Baltimore Dragon Boat Challenge
Paddle up! The annual Baltimore Dragon Boat Challenge is here! Sponsored by the Dragon Boat Club, Volo Sports and Baltimore Peninsula, the Annual Baltimore Dragon Boat Challenge will be a blast for the whole family. Cheer on the racers in the 500M and 2000M race, while enjoying a full day of activities along the waterfront. Stop by to see who is crowned the Dragon Boat Challenge champion!

Maryland Science Center's 48th Annual Solstice Gala
Join the party and support the mission to inspire, empower, and engage. Dress to impress and celebrate with exciting science demonstrations, live music, food and drink! Mingle and explore the museum’s three levels of hands-on interactive exhibits. Solstice is for ages 21+ only. Funds raised through Solstice support free admission for all Maryland school children and their teachers who visit as part of a field trip during the upcoming school year. Solstice also funds our outreach programs—Traveling Science Program, Ready Set Go Science, and Family Science and Family Engineering Nights.
